Cabin Fever maybe?

Normally I write a title and go from there, but recently, my titles would be, I don't know what to frigging write about. I'd like to think that I'v grown as a person since I started blogging, but that's bullshit. While I have become wiser....screw that. I have not become wiser. I'm no words of wisdom guy. I'm just making this stuff as I go alone.

I spent last weekend being as lazy as possible, just playing videogames and watching TV. I wasn't motivated to go outside, not with the -2000C weather out there. It's still BLEEPing cold outside, so I didn't do anything else.  Therefore, I have nothing to blog about the weekend.

I am looking forward to hopefully being about to buy Comic Con tickets this Saturday. I've been trying to get those damn tickets since November and each time, something happens, and no one is able to get the tickets (ok passes). whatever.

There are people near me, about to take some pictures for some bullshit thing. Not sure what, but they have professional lighting and crap like that. I think there are 10 people here to take pictures of one person. LAME.

AM I MAKING ANY SENSE?

Oh yeah, I just got free cake. YAAAA I like free cake,

I wonder if anyone will comment about how this post is just me blabbering?

One thing I'm looking forward to is finding out why pants is a dirty word in the UK, and why fanny means the front end of a woman's hoo hoo, as opposed to her ass.

Should I just be Twittering this?

Oh I read that some media outlets have decided that February is No Sarah Palin month. I'm looking forward to seeing how long that will last. A whole month without Sarah Palin on the news, with the exception of Fox News of course.

Ok I have nothing else. I'll try again tomorrow.

Yes, I'm being vague, and all over the place.

Well....I got nothing...that I can talk about right now. Certain people might be reading my stuff, and I don't want to take any chances.

I realize that it's going to take awhile to bring everyone back, and certain other people who were my regulars also seemed to have blog faded.

I had some personal crap last Thursday, and Friday, which is why I didn't blog, but I'm here again.

Something is suppose to happen today, but I now have the feeling that it's not going to happen, and I've yet to receive ANY feedback from this person. Well because of this, I'm continuing to loose faith in that person, and it's making a possible choice even easier.

I need to wear the smaller sized pants that I own. I put on the ones that are a size higher, and they make my ass look huge. I know I have a fat guy ass, but there are things I can do to minimize the "IT'S COMING RIGHT AT US, RUN" effect it can have with people, and wearing the larger sized pants is a no no.

I've changed the title of this blog post 4 times so far. I can't make up my mind what ti call this drivel. It's definitely a yadda yadda, but I'm not going to call it that.

With all the talk of 3DTV, when will 3D porn be appearing. I'm not sure I like the idea of having to duck at the end of the movie.

If some things work out the way I'd like them too, I might still be able to go to London this year, but things, don't work out perfectly with me often.

I predict that I'll be buying a Star Wars Bluray box set when it comes out in late 2011. I've bought these movies 3 times so far. I'm really stupid. Then again, I've bought Lord of the Rings, twice, and the Star Trek movies twice as well. I can see myself buying the Star Trek movies a third time.

I still need to win the lottery, so life can be my bitch for a change.

I think I broke last years record

Ok 2009 was a miserable year for my blog. I completed a total of 21 blog posts for the ENTIRE FRIGGIN YEAR. I think it was because I was happy. I was working at a great place and didn't have anything to bitch or complain about. So after the great career crash of 2010, I started to blog again.

Right now, I'm doing contract work, and I'm hoping that it will last longer than expected. I'm doing pretty well, and I'm continuing to learn new skills, to add to my resume, and I figure this will add to my eventual goals of....lots of moneyhood. I'm still working on it.

I'm trying not to be miserable, but at the same time, I tend to worry about the future. The good news everyone seems to like me, and I have stepped up, and it looks like that I'll be here past the original end of contract date, which is good. I just wish I had some sense of security.

I've noticed that this place has gotten more seriously lately. I think I've lost my way again. I need to go back to denying my boob fetish, and stuff like that. That's what made Tales from the Great White North such a good read to the one or two people who read this crap.

Oh and one thing I need to get off my chest. THE CALGARY FLAMES NOT MAKING THE PLAYOFFS!!! WHAT A FRIGGING SURPRISE YOU DAMN SLACKERS. I blame the team, not the coach.

Ok I feel better now.

I do have a shameful confession to make. I'm following Kristie Alley on twitter. What happened to her? I used to think she was so hot, now she's just nasty. I don't mean her weight, I mean her attitude. Seriously...what the hell. Then again, if I was her, I'd be pissed off at the constant comments on her weight. That stuff can really hurt. Now that I think about it, I bet it was all those comments which have made her so harsh. Well maybe. I do remember that she's also a chain smoker.

I think this is turning into a yadda yadda, but it's also blog post #22 for 2010, so I have broken my old record.

I'm glad that I made that post yesterday as well. I now have a public record of my goals, and I will accomplish them.

Ok so here's another goal. Once I blog for 10 straight days (not including weekends), I'll bring back the photo friday, and if I manage to continue for 20 straight days, then I'll bring back the Clip of the week.

I'm building a regular sequence now, of blogging during my lunch time at work, so the time is there. I just hope that they keep me around in order to keep going on the job.

It's all about the Yadda Yadda,

I'm doing better, but not great. Then again, for me great would be wining the lottery and spending the rest of my life in the lap of luxury, for the rest of my life, I'm ok for now. Just ok.

I picked up a book at the library today, something recommended by a online friend. I hope she doesn't mind me calling her a friend. I started to read "How to stop Worrying and Start Living", as recommended by Olly. I haven't gotten to far into the book yet, but I'm hoping it will help. I've also added another one of the authors book on my library hold list.

I still haven't told my mom and dad about not loosing my job, and I'm still hoping that I won't have too, until I get a new job, so they won't worry. To be honest, considering how well I'm doing so far in the job search, I don't think that it will be much longer before I find something. My skills and experience are in demand after all.

I do have a problem with the blog though. I now find myself thinking that my blog ideas should go into the book instead. I'm going to have to find that balance soon between what goes into the book and what goes into the blog. Is there a reason why it can't go into both? I need some feedback on this.

There is one thing that is pissing me off however. Once again, I'm missing an Olympic Games in Canada. This time because I can't afford to go. The last time was my parents fault. They've never been into big cities and they tend to shun them, while I'm the exact opposite. I love walking downtown in the valleys between the glass towers of a major city. I remember just before the Calgary Olympics, my family moved east to Ontario. I DID NOT take it well, and to this day, I feel that this move did sabotage my life in some way.

I've always found small towns to be ...small minded and suffocating. There isn't anything to do. There's nowhere to go other than a local bar (BORING). If you want to see a hockey game, all you have is a local minor team, and some don't even have that. I live within walking distance of the Saddledome, where NHL hockey is played. This city once hosted the world for the world as Vancouver is doing now.

I really shouldn't be blaming my dad for being trapped in a small no future town, but it was his fault. I tried to get any old job just to earn enough money to move out of there, and start a new life but I couldn't even do that. I guess my dad and I just see the world differently. Thank God for that, because I do not want to be my father.

I'm still looking for focus in life right now, and it's just isn't happening. My spirit is all over the place, unable to focus on one thing for long. At least I'm not freaking out anymore. I still have 2 weeks before I have to start doing that, and by that time, I won't have to.

I'm just taking it one step at a time or yadda yadda.

I swear the days are dragging. I keep thinking that it can't be Wednesday, it should be Thursday, or Friday, but no. It's only Wednesday.

I've only applied for 1 job this week, but on the bright side, I'm on the short list for two other jobs. I like being on the short list, but I'd rather be the one hired, but if I'm making it this far, then I must be doing something right.

So far, all I've done is thought about the book. I was suppose to actually write something this week, but I'll do that tomorrow. I'm still going into this blindly, and I'm probably going to go the self publishing route, but I do have a plan to promote it. What my plan is, I'm not telling. I don't want to give away my idea yet.

I'm trying to stop myself from falling back into old habits, but it can be hard sometimes. My apartment is starting to look sloppy again, so after I'm done writing here, I'm going to clean up again. The good news is that it's not so bad.

I keep thinking about life, and how...mundane it seems to be. Work, go home, rest, repeat. I this really what live is all about? Recently I confessed that I'm doing the IT thing because I want to be able to have skills that are in demand. I don't find it rewarding at all. I do find helping people rewarding, but that's about it. I don't find anything else really exciting about my life, my career, or lack of career. I think the book is me raging against the dying of my light.I used to feel that way a lot when I was working at K&F. That place tried to turn me into a drone.

I think the biggest blow was the postponing of the trip to London. I wanted to go so badly. I was even planing to do a stopover in Iceland, but now...that money is paying next month's rent. I need to start over again. I honestly think that this was worse than the job loss, but like I said, it's a postponement, not a cancellation. I will go to London in 2011 instead, after I meet my friends in San Diego that year as well. I refuse to give up. I won't allow myself to do that.

I seem to have no focus lately, but at least I'm blogging. I only blogged 21 times in 2009, and I'm already two thirds of the way to that and it's still February, so I am back.

Right now, I'm pouring my heart and soul into the screen, and I find myself wondering if anyone cares? Is anyone left who visits to care? Again I blame a dismal 2009 blogging year for that, but again that thought won't leave me. Am I alone?

I think what would cure all my woes is for me to win the frigging lottery. If that happened...say this weekend, then I'll be a lot more secure and I'll start looking at other things, other than day to day life. The ability to be free and go to London and visit Vics. To buy a vehicle and a video camera and vlog my journeys across Canada, from Vancouver to St John's Newfoundland.

The key is that I can't give up. I've seen people give up, and they spend their time in a job that they hate for the rest of their lives. I won't let that happen to me.

Yadda Yadda from the library.

Well, the good news. I had a second interview today, and I think it went well. I'll know more next week. The bad news is that I didn't get the first job. It turns out it was filled internally so even the head hunter looses out on it, but he told me to call him back in two weeks.

I can't believe that it's been two weeks since I've become unemployed. I really don't like it. It sucks not knowing if you can afford to pay your rent in the near future. I can afford to pay it in March however. I'm trying not to get depressed about it again. After all, I do have a second possible job.

I've decided that I like the people at the library less than the people at the mall. I don't know what it is, but there's just something different here. I'm sorry but the people here are uglier.

I picked up my first book about writing, well professional writing. It's just something that I think I can do. At the very least, I'll be able to say that I wrote something other than a blog. I think I'm going to take some time making sure I know what I'm going to write about. I'm thinking it will be a commentary like Denis Leary's book, or Craig Ferguson's book. If they can do this so can I.

I think the hard part initially will be to get my butt started, but I'm sure I can do it. I know I can. I need to be the person who does the other thing, I want my friends to know me as the author. Sure lots of people write books, and even if it doesn't sell well initally I have a plan for that too.

I'm also thinking about writing some fiction as well, but not till the first book is done. I need to learn how to flesh out plots and stuff like that. Unless I end up writing porn, then it's a lot of OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD !!!!

I think eventually I want to write science fiction or fantasy, but for now I'm gonna try the commentary thing first.

Right now across the lobby there's a tv showing some stuff about the Olympics, and I really couldn't give a crap. I remember once being excited about stuff like that but lately, I've become so jaded. It's almost like I've become like the person who I work across from.

My dad is like that. We would never go to cool stuff like that because of whatever reason he would make up. I hope I'm not turning into that. That's one of the reasons why I'm writing the book is because my dad never wrote a book. My dad never went to London, and I will go next year I swear it.

Oh, I still don't give a crap about the Olympics.

I think the library is closing soon, so I'm going to head out.

I'm out and about....ok it's yadda yadda,

I'm mall blogging today, just because I couldn't take my apartment. It's not the apartment itself, but the lack of people in the place that was driving me crazy. So right now I'm at the food court of South Center Mall, using their free Wi-Fi to blog (since I'm using their free Wi Fi, the least I can do is post a link). However, while I'm with people, I'm still alone. I don't know any of these people. I'm not having a conversation with anyone, but at least there are people around.

I also went to the doctor to see if my medication was in, nope. She said I should have called, but I just wanted to talk to someone who knew my name.

Actually I need to go to Cheers, where they would yell my name as I entered the establishment. What I want to know is how could Norm frequent that bar so many times and not be a frigging alcoholic. Anyways....

I'm not sure which malls have free Wi-Fi in town but it's easy to check. I know that the airport does, so maybe I'll try to blog there again.

I've been thinking about my options again. It turns out that once the Unemployment Benefits start, I can look into taking some courses to upgrade my skills. Stuff that I want to do, but I either don't have the time, or the money...or surprise...BOTH.

I'm trying to be positive about this, I really am, but let's face it. Life is hard sometimes. I think I know who to blame, the Night. It seems to me that my mood goes bad after the sun goes down, which is fairly early in these parts. Last night, when I went to bed, I even wished that I wouldn't wake up again. Alright, I'm not suicidal; well not really, but the word has passed from my lips for quite awhile, but enough about that. That all comes back to my self worth being related to my bank account, and I know it.

I've been toying with other ideas as well. Maybe I can write a book? Why not? Heck, I can even write it as a blog, write a page a day, and post it on a blog, which I'll post and who knows...maybe it will get published or something. Maybe a comical book. After all I'm a smart guy then I'll publish it with lulu.com and sell it on Amazon. Who knows what will happen. At the least, I can add author to my resume. Who knows, maybe I could make a career of it and become a professional writer, and buy a home in the country like Stephen King or something. Then I'll be able to take that shameful donate button off the blog.

It's something to do with my time, I'm only spend an hour or two job searching a day. I like this idea. I just need to figure out what my premise is.

Friday.....Yadda Yadda.

When I blogged regularly, I used to do something called the photo Friday. Instead of posting some comment, I would post a funny picture. While I have been good this week and managed to post every day, I'm not ready for the Photo Friday to return. First of all. I need a new collection of funny pictures to find. I do plan on getting Photo Friday back up, soon. I feel like I've done well this week, but it's just a start. It's like I'm starting all over again. I need to get my audience back, and hopefully get some new readers as well.

I know a lot of people have blogged faded recently and are trying to make a comeback. Some better than others I believe. I honeslting think that blogs have lost some popularity because of the growing popularity of podcasts and vlogs, but I think blogs are going to make a comeback in 2010.

I've messed with the podcast idea more than once. I've even had one for awhile, but it ended because...well I didn't have much to talk about, and other than a pissed off rant, I'm not that interesting a person.

I know I'm a smart ass and I can make people laugh. I'm actually pretty good at it, and if I had been less of a coward, I probably would have taken a shot at becoming a comedian. Then again, my parents fear of living in a large city also probably had something to do with it, but I'm not going to go there.

I've started playing a new MMO, called (drumroll) Star Trek Online. I can see your eyes rolling now, but it amuses me, and who knows, maybe I find a bunch of new online friends with this game and go to meet them in real life at a Star Trek Convention, like I did with the City of Heroes friends in Chicago back in August. We're also planning to meet again in 2011, at the San Diego Comic Con. So we shall see.

.....

Well I just came back from lunch, and my coworkers took me out for my birthday. Had a good time....I got nothing.

Now I won't claim that I'm going claim that I'm going to have something inspiring to say here. I've always considered this blog to be more Gillian's Island than Masterpiece Theater, but I'll have something interesting to say. I'll try to keep it clean but no promises.

Yadda Chicag Yadda Comic Con Yadda Whatever

I’m bored again. This isn’t a good thing because, well. I don’t like being bored. I’m still thinking about my vacation in August. What will I do, and what will I see in Chicago? It has come to the point where I’ve made a list of things that I might see, and what I should be careful of.

I’m hoping to see a parade, so I can grab a microphone and start singing Twist and Shout like Ferris Beuller did.

I’m going to be weary of anyone who looks like Carrie Fisher, because I know she’ll have a rocket launcher, and explosives on her. I saw that on the Blues Brothers. As well, I’ll have to watch out for the Illinois Nazis, and the 20 car pileups of Chicago Police Cruisers.

I also know that if I see a one armed man, go the other way.

I’m actually hoping to meet Oprah, because I figure there’s a good chance that she’ll give me a car.

I might the Chicago Superfan guys, and see one of them have another heart attack.

…..

I keep thinking about that trip, and I can’t wait. Time keeps dragging, but at least I have the Calgary Con to keep me happy. They just announced Sean Astin will be there. For non geeks, he played Sam in the Lord of the Ring movies, as well as Mikey, in The Goonies.

I’m really looking forward to the Calgary Con, as much as the Chicago trip. I feel like the local convention is the half way point between now and Chicago, and from what I’ve seen. Chicago won’t have much more than Calgary. They even announced the Soup Nazi guy from Seinfeld will be there.

I could go on, about how cool it will be to go to the Ando from Heroes panel, and how I love the costume contests, but I would just bore you all. That is the weekend I release my Geekness.

…..

It’s 4:30pm on a Friday afternoon and a lot of people have left for a weekend skiing, through the company. My old company would never do this, and I noticed that even the former CFO is joining them. This is a great place to work, and they do a lot of stuff like that, but I’m still to poor to join. Let me rephrase that, I’m too focused on getting out of debt to join. I don’t even go out for the weekly wings and beer night at a nearby pub. I just keep focusing on the debt.

One good thing has happened lately. I got a raise from the second job at Safeway, and it’s a rather substantial one at that. I’m getting an extra $100 a month now. That’s pretty good considering that I only work 12 hours a week at the second job.

I keep seeing May as when things will change moneywise. I’ll have 1 debt paid off, and I’ll start doing the Wednesday Wings thing. Someone has even marked it on their calendar, so they won’t forget. I’m actually looking forward to it.

Yadda Yadda Library?

To blog, what to blog about. I’m still have no ideal what I should be blogging about.

Here’s the problem. My life has come too mundane. It’s the same crap over and over again, and to be honest. I don’t want to blog about the same old crap. I need to blog about some new crap.

As a few of you might have guessing, I’m winging this post…because I can’t think of anything to do, except blog about someone’s cleavage, but I don’t feel like doing that right now.

I’ve started reading a book recommended from a friend of mine from City of Heroes. It’s called Artemis Fowl. I’ve noticed that it’s from the young adults second, but isn’t Harry Potter as well, and everyone reads those book. I’ve only gotten past the first chapter so fat, so it’s far too early to give it a rating, but from what I’ve gotten so far. It’s a child detective, in a modern world, but there’s magic as well, so in a way, it’s similar to Harry. I’ll give a more complete review when I’m done the first book. The book was recommended by Syd, a friend from City of Heroes, and she loves the series so I’m going to give it a shot.

I really haven’t been reading lately. I’ve been listening to podcasts, and playing videogames, but I think it’s time to get back to actually reading a book. I’m used to be so bad that I would listen to audio books, and before that I was reading PDF’s of books on my Palm (the device, not my actual palm). For an IT person, it’s strange that I’ve gotten so “analog” all of a sudden. I blame the public library.

Last year, I got a library card and started borrowing Manga. Actually I got the library card because I needed some tech manuals on our Exchange Server (that’s email for no techies), so I got the card, got the books, then started reading Manga, borrowing DVD’s and CD’s, and now I have a real piece of fiction sitting on my workstation.

After getting all my information from the Internet, it’s strange that I’m going to a building and getting stuff. I even use the library’s webpage to put holds on the books that I want. Who would have though that was possible. Though the library isn’t perfect. I can’t find cleavage there. For that I still need the Internet.

I can explain, honest

I’ve been busy this past week. Really busy. At work, I’ve been swamped so I haven’t been able to blog at work, and I lost one of my hard drives on my PC at home, so I haven’t been able to blog there either. Don’t worry, I replaced the hard drive and I’m back online at home, but I just didn’t feel like blogging at home. (I cleaned my apartment instead). Anyway I’m back.

First I want to talk about the new hard drive, just because I want to talk about how much storage I have on my 2 hard drives now. I have two 500 gig hard drives which combine to a total of 1 Terabyte of storage. I know it seems lame, but when you have to go to a new unit of measurement to describe how much storage I have, I think it’s friggin cool. It’s like, 2 guys talking and one says, my driveway is 200 meters longs and the other guy says mine is 1 kilometer long. When you have to go up a unit of measurement, you’re cool in my opinion. I could go into it, describing inches and feet, but someone might get the wrong idea.

I find myself lost for words once again. I keep focusing on Chicago. The trip to Chicago happens in 295 days. Yes I’m counting days. I really need a vacation, and this will be my chance to get out of the city, meet some virtual friends that I’ve never meet in real life, go to a huge comic convention, and check out the third largest city in the US. I’m also divided on if I should go to Vegas, or Ottawa next fall. I think Vegas would be cool, but there are some people I’d like to meetup with in Ottawa including an ex-girlfriend, and we still get along very well. (Yes insert 70’s porno music here).

So right now, I’ve divided on Vegas and Ottawa, it wll be warm when I go, as oppose to Ottawa, where it would be warm. I’ve never been to Vegas, while I use to live just outside of Ottawa, in a town called Arnprior. Vegas would be a new adventure, while Ottawa pretty well guarantee’s me some (Insert 70’s porno music) Decisions, decisions.

Yadda Yadda Huh.

Once again, I have no idea what to blog about. Normally I would write something on Microsoft Word and then "cute and paste" it over the the blogger client (yes I said client, how computer techy of me), but today I'm throwing caution to the wind, as opposed to breaking wind, which is something else entirely.

Maybe, I'll blog about fart jokes. Just to do something different, but I'm bound to offend someone. Even if I were to do my favorite, "Big Chief, No Fart" joke. You know, I haven't thought of that

****

I had to go away to do some work related stuff. Imagine that. Seriously, I'm not sure what to blog about. I've been so busy, that I only took half of my lunch. It was around 12:30 when my phone wouldn't stop ringing, so I said, "screw it", and went back to work. While working is a good thing, after all, it's what they pay me to do. The problem is that, my creativity suffers because of it. No time to research and interesting story, no time to get pissed off by something I read on the Internet. No time for anything really.

I think I need a laptop, so I can blog wherever I want to. Get an idea, whip out the laptop and blog away. My PC is 4 years old but it still does what I need it to do (play City of Heroes, and download smut...I mean visit Facebook), so I don't feel a need to get a new PC.

*****

It's now late at night. I should be going to bed, but I feel a need to finish this post. I'm not sure what I'm trying to accomplish here. I know that I'm not going to end this post with something special. All I can think of saying is "If someone asks you to pull their finger, don't do it".

Return of the Yadda Yadda

I need to blog about something. I’ve had two false starts today and then my mind said, “NOOO, you cannot blog about this”. Then I would stop writing and try to figure out what to blog about.

First I started to blog about a news article, where a man was banned from his girlfriend’s home because of the loud sex noises, but that turned into something lame. My heart wasn’t into it.

Then I started blogging about how I went to lunch with some of the staff and they actually were ordering alcoholic beverages. This would be grounds for dismissal at my old job, but here’s it’s allowed as long as your bellow the legal limit. Honestly, this surprises me, but I didn’t want to turn this into another “my new job is so much better than my old job” post. So I don’t know what to blog about.

I did consider blogging about the Bronze Fonz statue, but really, do I want to waste your and my time with this crap?

Honestly, all I can think about is buy a new grill after work. I know what, and were I’m going to buy the damn thing. I think that it’s really sad that all I can think about is the stupid grill. My mom has been complaining about my old George Foreman grill, because it’s stained (the damn thing was white), and she keeps pushing me to get a new one. Well I’m finally caving and getting a new one. My mom would be so proud.

I’ve noticed something about the new look for the blog. In my archive it not only shows how many post I’ve made per year, but per month as well. I remember promising myself to blog almost every day, and then just this past June, I only posted 6 times for the whole month. I’m hoping that the fall will reinspire me.

So this is now officially a Yadda Yadda post. I haven’t done one in a while, so I guess I was overdue.

Another Yadda Yadda

Ack ack ack. The new job is still affecting my blogging. I’m not pissed off anymore. I fear that this will cause my blog to suffer.

A lot of times, when I blog, it’s because I’m having a “DAMN YOU” moment, and I would go off about things that occurred at the old job. Now at the new job, I’m really happy, and I’m having any “shaking fist at God moments” anymore. In fact, life is good.

Less than 2 weeks ago, I’ve bought a PlayStation 3, a new PlayStation portable, a bunch of old used PlayStation 2 games, Command and Conquer 3 for my PC, and a lot of new clothes. I’m not going to go into the details on how I was able to afford these things, but I put the money on my credit card before buying the items. (Free tip, buy electronic items on your credit cards, because if the thing breaks right away and the store besides to be a dick about it, you can set the credit card company loose on them, and they have HUGE fangs.).

To be honest, the last thing, I want to blog about are my new toys, and clothes because I can just see everyone’s eyes rolling to the back of their heads over that. Though when I get the 50 in LCD, that’s going to blogged about…a lot. You need to understand, a 50inch LCD is a wet dream for a lot of guys. Watching Hockey, or Football on such a screen would rock. Personally, I plan to connect my PC to it, so I’ll be able to play City of Heroes on it, as well as watch Internet video, and just do regular computer stuff, like blogging. Imagine blogging with a 50in LCD. I definitely won’t be squinting my eyes.

I remember blogging about things that were borderline sexual, commenting on sex toys, the sex industry in general, still like who tests the fake ummmm for quality control, but I’ve seem to have gotten out of that practice. I guess my head isn’t in the gutter as much as it used to. Is this a bad thing? Well, the old place was filled with middle aged Punjabi women, so there wasn’t much thought in that area, and this place is mostly males. Maybe I need to get a job as a DJ in a strip bar or something. Something to get my pervertness back up to power? Will the return of my pervy nature save this blog?

Here’s the problem with my perverted nature. I respect women as people, and not sex objects. Now women are probably saying that this is a good thing. The problem is that because of this I’m totally blind to signals being sent when you want me to handcuff you to the railing and give you the spanking you so desperately want. We would end up spending the evening playing backgammon instead of screaming OH GAWD over and over again. When it comes to those signals, I’m as dense and lead.

Actually, It looks like I’m going to have to get a clue soon. For the longest time, I’ve made up different excuses as to why I wasn’t dating. Excuses like, “I’m work and going to school at the same time”, “I need all the OT I can get so I don’t have time to be with someone”, blaa bla blaa. Bottom line, I’ve made up a lot of excuses. The problem with my recent success is that I’m running out of excuses.

Now someone tell me WHY I have to put myself through that, if I don’t want to. I’ve met a lot of women, and I’m NEVER tried to get into the boyfriend/girlfriend thing in the past. To be honest, I don’t know if I want to now. I’m a extremely independent person, though I do have a lot of friends online, and most of my online friends have said some really nice things about me, and they’d like to meet me one day. I’m planning on doing just that next year with the trip to Chicago, London, and perhaps other places. (The Vegas trip is just for me). I’m going to meet other players from City of Heroes. I’m going to meet Vics, and her bloke. I’d like to meet other people on my blog roll or my Instant Message clients. Actually a lot of those people are on both lists. I want to meet Miss Jay, Vics, April, and a others on my blogroll. I want to meet Capt Blast, Telsa Force, Echo and others from City of Heroes. Again, I want to meet them, but I’m not interested in having “relationships” with these people. (Especially the males).

This has been another “winging it” post, and I’ve gotten comments in the past that they are my best posts, so hopefully I’ve kept the tradition alive.

Yadda Yadda, once again

This post turned into a Yadda Yadda so quickly that even I didn’t see it coming.

My current employer, Kohl and Frisch, use to really piss me off, it would also motivate me to writing some decent rants, or make me see the funny side of things, so I would write some interesting blog posts, but I’m not in a rant mode these days, and I can’t think of anything funny to blog about. I think I know what the problem is, I now have hope, and I’m not forced to amuse myself to rid myself of the feeling of despair. DAMN YOU LIFE FOR GOING MY WAY FOR A CHANGE.

I remember a post back in January that I said that 2008 was going to be my year. Well I guess it will be. I’m already thinking about a trip to Vegas. I’m applying for my passport, getting the photos done this weekend, because I want to travel. Oh and getting my passport was one of my goals. It’s a step to getting out of the country. A long weekend in Las Vegas for starters, and …I’m not sure. I have friends in Ottawa that I wouldn’t mind seeing. There are other people in that area that I wouldn’t mind meeting. The problem with going back to Ontario is that I’d be expected to visit family, and to be honest, I don’t want to do that. I’d like to go back to Ontario and do what I want to do, not what is expected of me.

I remember writing about spending Christmas somewhere else, other than here, or with my family. I remember reading someone’s blog, (or was it a comment on my blog?, I can’t remember) that I should just go somewhere on my own. Well in their case, it was a husband and wife, but you get my point.

Now that I think about it. Christmas in New York would be cool. Sure there wouldn’t be the family get together of unwrapping Christmas presents, but on the other hand I wouldn’t feel the need to run over family with a Zamboni. To be honest, I don’t think I’m able to take family in large doses anymore, with the exception of my brother. Don’t get me wrong, I love them, but they just don’t understand my “geek” lifestyle, which include the 52 in Plasma TV that doubles as a PC Monitor. I mentioned that I wanted it and my dad’s reply was “You don’t even have cable”.

Also, I’m not getting cable TV, because in my opinion, Cable is a big rip-off. You can’t choose what you want; they give you all the channels including the channels you’ll never watch like “W”, the women’s channel. I’m not going to watch that, though I could see myself with a pen and paper, watching Cosmo TV. I walk by that magazine in the rack at the grocery store, and it always features articles about ‘better sex”, the “G-Spot”, and stuff like that. I think it would be a good idea to learn about this. This might help me from not needing the hum the “Raiders of the Lost Ark” in my head to prevent myself from “blowing it”. Oh yeah, Hockey and Baseball scores are also good for that. I might have to practice my mental humming for Vegas.

Arghh I was interrupted and had to go to a meeting. Now that I’m back, I’ve lose my train of thought, and I keep hearing Punjabi behind me. Grrrr.

I'm feeling drained, so it's Yadda, Yadda

I’m staring at the screen again. I think it’s time for another Random Post. I’m feeling emotionally drained right now.

A lot of stuff is happening at work right now. Some good, some bad, some stupid, and I find myself not being able to concentrate on other things, even at home, all I want to do is sleep. I’m really feeling drained.

I’ve noticed this trend in Facebook lately. Get an invite for a quiz or something like that. It’s usually a “Find out what kind of …are you” dealm but when you try to get the answer, it tells you that you “must” invite 20 people to try the quiz. Well I’m not going to do that because I like my friends on Facebook, so I’m not going to spam them just to find out what kind of cartoon character I would be.

I’ve just learned that the law banning the sale of sex toys in Texas has been overturned. Whew, that’s great, so if I’m ever in Texas and feeling a little…I can relax know thing I can take care of that, safely by buying a “Little Inflatable Annie” or “Ifeelher Airparts” doll. Though to be honest, I’ve never thought it was the governments business if someone bought that special attachment for their Ipod.

I’ve heard that Atheists are flocking to the town of Huddlesfield in the UK. Apparently someone discovered an image of the “Big Bang” on a slick of toast. Really, how could such a thing happen? It couldn’t have been divine intervention after all but how did it happen?

I’ve already heard that the Police in Thailand are cracking down on the awful crime of sex on Valentines day. They’re doing this by leaving the light on everywhere as well as playing Tiny Tim through loudspeakers (ok I made that part up,) but at least you’ll be able to buy sex toys...or will you.

Again, I feel like I’m reaching, so I’ll call it a day.

Yadda Yadda or Random Thoughts

I can’t think of anything to blog about so, I’m just going to blog about random thoughts. I think this is the evolution of the Yadda Yadda.

Sometimes Tim Hortons coffee can be nasty. In fact I usually order half coffee, half hot chocolate to keep it from destroying my taste buds. Oh and why do some people need “piping hot” coffee? Why do they need to burn the inside out their mouths?

So guy is suing the owners of the Empire State Building because their security stopped him from jumping. I think the should invite him back to the top of the building and PUSH HIM OFF, without his fancy suit. The guy went on to say that he was the only one in danger, because of the security. What a tool.

Yesterday I discovered Global Pandora. I used to use Pandora all the time, to hear new music, because I hate radio. I hate the commercials, I hate the announcers. I hate normal radio, though I do plan to try out Satellite Radio by the end of the year. As a result of this, I don’t hear about new bands, but with Pandora, I get to hear new stuff that they think I’ll like, based on my channels. 30 Seconds to Mars ROCKS.

I haven’t done the Google Adwords thing yet. I’m still working on the keyword list. I have lots of keyword that I want. When, and only when that list is completed, I’ll go live with the adwords. I’m targeting to be completed by the weekend.

A man who went to emergency room for a head injury received a rectal examination against his will. Oh and they guy was charged with assault for hitting the doctor. Personally, I would have beaten the living shit out of the doctor for sticking something up my behind. Last time I checked, NO MEANS NO.

That’s all I have for today

Yadda (too short for Yadda Yadda)

The first thing I was to say is to the Saskatchewan Roughriders who I saw with the watermelon on his head. “YOU’RE AN IDIOT”. Now that I have that to say, I now have to try and figure out what I should blog about…

When I read about this old lady, I thought DAMN. I’m proud of her. So picture this, a 75 year old woman has been trying to get cable, phone and Internet service from Comcast, but Comcast has failed to show up for the appointments (a common practice according to some friends of mine in the U.S.) so to show her displeasure, she goes down to the cable office with a HAMMER, and once she’s down there, she starts smashing phones, and keyboards. She’s arrested, and while the cable company is all “were sorry, were sorry”, she’s switched back to her old provider. Yaaaa for old ladies.

Ok that’s all I have. Oh well.

My path, I think

It’s Monday and I’m once again feeling less than grand. You ever wake up and think that the week is going to suck? Well I felt like that today after I got into work. I arrived 15 minutes early and thought to myself. This is going to be a long week. Again I suffer from a lack of focus, a lack of topic so I’m just going to yadda yadda it.

Today I went to the Bank of Canada’s website to check out their currency converter and I have discovered that the Canadian dollar is now work (drum roll) $1.01 US. Now this is both good and bad. This is good because I’m looking forward making a trip across the border with my more powerful dollar. This is also a bad thing because my e-commerce site spacestationanime.com accepts prices in US dollars soooo I’m now being paid in dollars that are worth $99 cents. So it looks like I’ll be working a little longer than I though, Either way I’ve decided to keep the job until I’m debt free, That will take as long as it takes I decided., though I’m still going to do some traveling next year.

I’ve decided that I’ve been dreaming a little bit about the site. I knew that it wasn’t going tom be as easy and I originally thought, but now I’ve decided that it’s going to be harder than that. I keep looking at little things that I need to do and they are pilling up and are turning into BIG things. I know that I can do it; it’s just going to take some time.

Last week I received a notice that the building I live in has been sold. I’ve received these notices in the past and the last 2 times I received such a document, it was soon followed by a notice to vacate due to “major renovations”, and that they were going “condo”. Today is the first of the month so I’m hoping that no such notice will be awaiting me when I get home tonight. I spoke to some people in managers office and they told me that (at the time) that no changes were being made. I saw some people moving out yesterday, which is common, I just hope that the people who will be moving in this week aren’t about to get as screwed as me.

Again, if I have to move out, I’m probably going to leave Calgary and head for Saskatchewan. I’m getting fed up with the cost of living and crime in this city, not to mention the skyrocketing crime. This morning I read about a 17 year old who was killed by being hit in the head with a pickaxe. What’s really bothering me is that these acts of violence are becoming too common. I’m no longer fazed by these events and that disturbs me. I’m starting to feel like a prisoner in this city and I’m starting to get pissed off by this feeling. I have a friend who’s a member of the local Guardian Angels and he tells me that there are some bad things going on in this city; things that I want no part of. Right now I’m avoiding the parts of town where the homeless hang out, like the plague.

Basically I’m not living the life I dreamed of but who does? At least I’m trying to do something about it.

A Yadda Yadda, but a good Yadda Yadda

I guess I’m going to label this week, TV WEEK. Now I used to be a TV junkie, but these days I’ve chosen to live with cable, because…. Most of TV is crap. It’s the same recycled bullshit sitcoms, and no one tries something different. For the record, the only time I’ve ever watched an episode of Friends was when I was on a plane. I watch what I want to watch, not what people tell me to watch. At least there’s going to me SOMETHING cool to watch this week.

Tonight I’m looking forward to Heroes. This is one of the few shows that I love. It’s a show I wish I could be on. It’s a show that keeps you on the edge of your seat, but actually gives you some resolution. Last season they did manage to save New York, and tie up most of the story lines. Sure there were a thing or two that made you think “what are they talking about”, but overall, it was a neat little package. Oh and giving us a cliffhanger by giving us a preview of “Book 2” was great. I want to know how Hiro will deal with feudal Japan.

On Thursday, I’m looking forward to the return of Smallville. Now I’ve heard that people have called it Beverly Hills 90210 meets Superboy or X-Files meets Superboy, but I think the show is cool. Personally, I think the best episodes were the ones with Christopher Reeves as the special guest.

I guess everyone is seeing a trend her, and it shouldn’t be a surprise. Yes I like superheroes. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a superhero. I think superheroes are cool. I used to love running up and down the street with a beach towel tied behind my neck, and that was last week.

I will also confess that I love watching superhero cartoon as well as anime. I just wish that the superhero cartoons would be a little…edgier. I know that in the U.S. they have a hard time getting past the “Cartoons are for Kids” thing. I remember when they did the gay marriage episode, there was some religious group rep on TV and of course he said “Cartoons are for kids”. You know what? Cartoons are not “just” for kids, but tell that to those closed minded Religious Right whackoes. YES I’m still pissed at those close minded people.

What really bothers me is that Jesus was about helping people. He feed the poor, healed the sick, and he died for our sins. He gave comfort those in need. He told people not to judge other. He said that he, who is without sin, cast the first stone. Today, we have people who claim to follow the teachings of the New Testament, but for the life of me I cannot remember being taught that Jesus said, YOU SHALL NOT BE GAY, in Religion class, but I do remember being taught that Jesus spoke about helping others, clothing the poor, feed the hungry, nursing the sick, and I’m pretty sure if I did some actually research, in the Bible, instead of relying on Religion class from Catholic school, and I went to Catholic School from grade Kindergarten to Grade 11. At least when it comes to religion, there people like Tony Campolo who, in my opinion, get it right.

I swear I had a simple topic. I was going to talk about Heroes, but from there, I went to how we can all be a hero, by helping someone in need. This turned into a Yadda, Yadda, but a good Yadda, Yadda.
