God does not want us to be STUPID

I can’t take stupid people anymore. I want to start a culling of stupid people right now. The sad thing that it wouldn’t take me long to find some stupid people. They are right outside my door, on the streets and of course on the Internet. I found THIS on Digg today. The first thing that concerns me is when the words Christian and Science are put in the same place. You know that no good will come from this.

Some 14 year old claims to prove that evolution is a lie because he managed to make “stalactites” using Epsons salts. He claims because he made them in an hour, and because of that, the fact that it takes thousands of years for real Stalactites to grow is a lie and because of that lie, the earth cannot be millions of years old. So evolution is a lie.

Can we just round these people up and smack them on the head with a frying pan for being STUPID? Having faith in God is not a bad thing, but blind faith in the words of a man who is reading from the bible is extremely dangerous.

What really bothers me is that I went to a Catholic school for most of my life. Only on my final year of high school did I not go to a Catholic school. I had to take Religion every year, and I feel that overall, it didn’t harm me in every way because our teachers always encouraged us to think and not accept something blindly. I even asked a science teach once on his opinion of creationism vs. evolution. He told me that he believed in evolution, but that he felt that God had a hand in directing that evolution. This is a belief that I have also adopted. So why are so called teachers programming Christian children into believing just about anything.

To be honest, these movements by the so called Religion Right (which are usually neither) scare the hell out of me because by pushing their programming of people to not accepting science, we’re going to head into another Dark Age. People like George W (for God’s sake, get his stupid ass out of the white House), refuse to listen to reason on these items. At one time Islam encourage discovering and science and are responsible for many of the world most important inventions, but today, it about far different things. While the Japanese do have vast scientific knowledge, they seem to be more interested in using stem cell technology to make boobs bigger. At this point it’s Europe that’s going to have to prevent the world from slipping into another Dark Age. (There Stef, I SAID IT). It’s either that or the US gets the Democrats back in power and stay in power for a long long time.

Sir Elton John cannot turn me gay

I can’t take the stupidity much longer. We seriously need to bring back natural selection but in the form of an IQ test. If you fail, BOOM you’re gone. The latest thing involves Sir Elton John, I’ll be honest; I’m not a big fan of this guy. I like some of his music but I don’t own (or illegally download) any of his music, but I can respect this guy as an individual. There’s a music festival that is taking place in the Caribbean and Sir Elton is suppose to be performing there BUT (you always have to sneak in the word’ but’ in a story about a gay man), the local church does want him there for fear of turning the whole island gay. Are you kidding me?

According to statistics, 1 out of 10 people are homosexuals, so I’ve meet many people who are potentially gay. In fact, I’ve meet people who are openly gay, and not once after meeting these people did I ever get a craving for cock. Not once, so the idea of Sir Elton turning the entire population of this island gay is absolutely nuts (had to work ‘nuts’ in there as well). Once again, closed minded people are forcing their closed minded ideas on others.

This reminds me of some claims made a short while ago that Soy was making kids gay as well. What is wrong with these people? Is there a secret ingredient in soy that makes men crave the taste of penis? Perhaps there’s something in there that gives some the desire to have someone “invade” them? Oh and it’s suppose to make my “deal” smaller, somehow I doubt it. Maybe these people are having “confusing” feelings and need to blame Soy or Elton john for their feelings. Oh yeah Soy Sauce is ok, it’s just soy milk that turns you into a flaming … according to this report. Does this mean Elton John drank Soy milk as a child?

Ok stupid, intolerant people, gather around. I’m going to tell you where gay people come from and it’s not a faraway land named Homoslovia. It’s just part of nature. There are many cases of homosexuality in the animal world as well as the human world. It’s part of the circle of life. It’s not sin, its life. DEAL WITH IT.

This reminds me of what Dennis Miller said. The religious right is usually neither. Oh and I’ve never gotten a boner thinking about Elton John or looking at a picture of him so I’m pretty sure he’s not contagious.

Oh and the Earth wasn't created in 7 days.

Is the Earth billions of year’s old or only six thousands years old? Any sane, educated person would say the Earth is billions of years old. Any sane and educated person would say that we evolved over millions of years, and yet why does the United States have groups of people who still claim that evolution is a fraud and that we all came from Adam and Eve? For a nation that used to be the leader in most forms of science, research and technology, it shocks me more and more how this country is falling behind because of this need to hold onto this belief.

I went to Catholic school and I was required to take religion as one of my classes. I remember something that my grade 8 teacher told me. He told me that the story of Adam and Eve was created to give us a sense of a beginning. That Adam and Eve didn’t exist in the way that it was written in The Bible. Basically we should not take it literally. I also remember having a conversation that same year with my science teacher about this and asked his view (remember, I went to a Catholic school), and he told be that the theory of evolution is correct, however things are too perfect and perhaps God has a hand in guiding out evolution. This is something that I have believed in my whole life. Personally I believe this is a good balance between the two set of beliefs.

Today I read the news story about some people who still believe that we have only been on Earth for six thousand years and that Adam and Eve were real? I keep asking myself, what is wrong with these people? Why are they clinging to this story as fact? What really troubles me is the fact that they are calling Darwin’s theories as lies and that he was delusional? So when are they going to burn him at the stake? Why are people from the 21st century acting like people from the dark ages?

What I find amusing is that because of these people and how they cling to their beliefs, they as a result, they are starting to hold back innovation and research in the U.S. in such sciences as Stem cell research, and the poster boy for these people, George W Bush, is the reason why they are falling behind. Oh and before people start say saying it’s a Republican vs. Democrat thing, Nancy Reagan has been a large proponent of Stem Cell research for some time now.

While there are some people across the border who’s dedication towards these beliefs has lead them to question their sanity or their true intentions, I wouldn’t go as far as Chris Hedges, who feels that there is a small group of people who want to turn the US into a Christian Fascist state. It’s his arguments that make me feel, perhaps we should keep an eye on these guys.

Basically, if you want to believe in the boogieman, then go ahead, but don’t force the boogieman beliefs on me. Oh also, I’m keeping my eye on you people.
