Sleep Travelling?

I know I said what I said…but sometimes life is hard. I’ve been extremely busy at work. Staying late and crashing around 8:00pm every night this week. Then I would wake up at 1am, or 3am; sometimes both. Sometimes I wish that I didn’t have to sleep, but this is getting annoying. There’s one thing that has kept to going thought, and that is next summer’s trip to Chicago, but I’ve decided that Chicago isn’t enough for me. It’s just a start.

Last week, I dreamed that I was in the UK. I’m not sure where exactly I was, but I do know I was in the UK. I know I was there to meet a certain blogger, her bloke, and their “lil” one, but I don’t think I actually meet any of them. All I remember is waiting in a bar/pub/whatever they call them over there.

Then earlier this week, I found myself looking through Expedia.ca at flight/hotel packages for a week in Hong Kong, to which I concluded, Hong Kong isn’t as expensive as I thought it would be, so I’m toying with the idea of adding Hong Kong my list…after London. I’ve committed London (or wherever in the UK Vics is) for 2010, no matter what.

I’m still thinking Vegas would be cool, as well as going back to Ottawa. There are some old friends in Ottawa a new one, that I haven’t meet face to face, and Vegas…well a couple of days in Vegas, while staying at the Hooters Hotel, or some other “fine” establishment. Let’s see, Vegas vs. Ottawa. I might do a poll on that one day. Either way, one of those trips would be squeezed in between Chicago and London.

One thing that I have noticed is the lack of interest in flying back home to visit family. I’m sorry, but I do not want to go to that small town in Northern Ontario…ever, but I know that one Christmas I’ll have to make that journey…to the dullest place on earth.

I’ve also considered a weekend in Fort McMurray. While I wasn’t born there, I did grow up there, and I consider that place home, more than the small town in Northern Ontario. I honestly feel that part of the world held me back. There wasn’t any opportunity for me there, unless I wanted to be a lumberjack, drive a truck, or do something for a living that I would absolutely hate. Fort McMurray has options.

So once, again. I will try to blog more regularly, and avoid blogging about Britney Spears’s Vagata.

I'm a travelling....

So I’m sitting here, and once again, I have blogger’s block. I have a plan to get downtown, to the postal outlet before it closes today. It involves doing some walking, to a bus stop a little further up the street, so that I’ll have the option of catching one of two buses, in order to catch the train, and get downtown, to pick up my PASSPORT.

Right now I’m not planning on crossing any international borders before June 09, but I wanted to get this whole passport thing over and done with. I feel like it’s the next step on my ladder of success; that I will then become a world traveler.

I’ve already planned my first “international trips”. First I’m heading to Chicago next summer for the Chicago Comicon. Now I know Chicago isn’t really an “international” destination, but ever since George W, decided that Canada is a haven for terrorists, and that people crossing the Canada/US border needed a passport (or some special ID card, that I don’t remember the name of). So suddenly I need a passport to cross the worlds longest unprotected border, even though there’s stories of the Minutemen starting to guard the US/Canada border, not that the idea of a bunch of Americans, drinking beer, and carrying guns, right across the border scares the hell out of me, but it used to be no big deal to cross the border. I didn’t even have to produce my driver’s license when driving across.

Anyway I’m taking off to Chicago to meet my online friends from City of Heroes. I’ve been playing that game for years, and I’ve made a lot of online friends, and now I’m going to get the opportunity to meet them. I’m really looking forward to it, but I’ve already stipulated, that my hotel room will NOT BE THE PARTY ROOM.

Secondly I’m planning a Christmas trip to Vegas. What better way to celebrate the birth of the sun of God, than hanging out in a casino, with a stripper at my side. Now I know I’ve mentioned the Vegas/Stripper/What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, thing before so, I won’t mention it any further.

Then the big trip planned for 2010. I want to visit the UK. I want to see London. This will officially make me a world traveler, since I’ll be leaving the continent. I’m really looking forward to that for a couple of reasons. First, I’d be in London, and secondly, I’d get the opportunity to meet one of the first people who has ever visit my blog. I’m talking about Vics, AKA Rosevibe. I’ve known her for years. We’ve chatted online, as well as talked to each other on the phone, but we have never met face to face. That needs to change. I look forward to having her show me around her country. I’m really looking forward to blogging from the UK.

So that’s my travel calendar for the next 2 years, so unless my brother does something silly like propose to his girlfriend, that will be it. Oh if you want me to visit you in the future, you need to live somewhere cool.
