So I’m sitting here, and once again, I have blogger’s block. I have a plan to get downtown, to the postal outlet before it closes today. It involves doing some walking, to a bus stop a little further up the street, so that I’ll have the option of catching one of two buses, in order to catch the train, and get downtown, to pick up my PASSPORT.
Right now I’m not planning on crossing any international borders before June 09, but I wanted to get this whole passport thing over and done with. I feel like it’s the next step on my ladder of success; that I will then become a world traveler.
I’ve already planned my first “international trips”. First I’m heading to Chicago next summer for the Chicago Comicon. Now I know Chicago isn’t really an “international” destination, but ever since George W, decided that Canada is a haven for terrorists, and that people crossing the Canada/US border needed a passport (or some special ID card, that I don’t remember the name of). So suddenly I need a passport to cross the worlds longest unprotected border, even though there’s stories of the Minutemen starting to guard the US/Canada border, not that the idea of a bunch of Americans, drinking beer, and carrying guns, right across the border scares the hell out of me, but it used to be no big deal to cross the border. I didn’t even have to produce my driver’s license when driving across.
Anyway I’m taking off to Chicago to meet my online friends from City of Heroes. I’ve been playing that game for years, and I’ve made a lot of online friends, and now I’m going to get the opportunity to meet them. I’m really looking forward to it, but I’ve already stipulated, that my hotel room will NOT BE THE PARTY ROOM.
Secondly I’m planning a Christmas trip to Vegas. What better way to celebrate the birth of the sun of God, than hanging out in a casino, with a stripper at my side. Now I know I’ve mentioned the Vegas/Stripper/What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, thing before so, I won’t mention it any further.
Then the big trip planned for 2010. I want to visit the UK. I want to see London. This will officially make me a world traveler, since I’ll be leaving the continent. I’m really looking forward to that for a couple of reasons. First, I’d be in London, and secondly, I’d get the opportunity to meet one of the first people who has ever visit my blog. I’m talking about Vics, AKA Rosevibe. I’ve known her for years. We’ve chatted online, as well as talked to each other on the phone, but we have never met face to face. That needs to change. I look forward to having her show me around her country. I’m really looking forward to blogging from the UK.
So that’s my travel calendar for the next 2 years, so unless my brother does something silly like propose to his girlfriend, that will be it. Oh if you want me to visit you in the future, you need to live somewhere cool.
